These Vegetable Recipes Are Time-Tested

These are a number of my trusted time-tested vegetable recipes.  Growing up in farm country and having legion contemporary vegetables in season and preserving them for the cold winter months, i'm a real lover of fine vegetables. attempt these recipes for the vegetable lovers in your family or for those you would like to be told to like vegetables!  And keep in mind, virtually everybody has to add a lot of vegetables to their diets!  The Vegetable Packets are an excellent thanks to grill up some tasty vegetables to travel together with your grilled burgers, steaks, chicken, etc. we tend to grew legion potatoes after I was a child and that i suppose I loved them anyway they might be cooked.  No, i do not suppose I did; i do know I did. and that i still do! however my all-time favorite, as a toddler and as an recent grandmother, is fried potatoes.  These butter fried potatoes with onion, bell pepper, etc, are particularly smart when fried in an exceedingly cast-iron skillet!  The Baked Beans could be a recipe that we frequently served on our houseboat after we entertained years ago and additionally served at neighborhood parties and cookouts.  My grandkids relish them nowadays.


3 tbsp butter

3 cups sliced potatoes, create slices regarding 1/8-inch thick

1/2 tsp dried oregano

2 tbsp finely chopped bell pepper

1 tbsp parsley flakes

2 tbsp minced onion

cooked crumbled bacon

For each serving or packet, place a double thick rectangle of aluminum foil on flat surface. within the center space of the foil place regarding vi potato slices (depending on potatoes size) vi carrot strips, and vi inexperienced pepper strips. 1/2 lb bacon

1 onion, diced

1 will (16-oz) pork & beans

3 Tbsp yellow mustard

5 tbsp maple syrup

4 tbsp catsup

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Fry the bacon till crisp, crumble.  In bacon drippings, saute the onion till tender and gently browned. combine the bacon, onion, and drippings with the remaining ingredients.  Pour into a casserole dish and bake lined at 325 degrees for forty five to hour.
